Georgian Style Interior Design Tips

During the Georgian period, walls were very important and there was a great deal of looking after them. Back then, oaks were usually used to make panels and wax polish was added to the top. Later on, there was an introduction of softwoods. When it came to things such as lighting the house, candles were used apart from fire. The candles were put on candlesticks lanterns that were made from wood, candelabras or wall sconces. Paintings were usually hang from a visible fabric bow and were very popular back then.
They also used silver ware directly on the walls. Other items like furniture were usually made from fabrics such as chintz, velvet, brocade and damask. It is now very easy to find people still going on with the Georgian style interior design trend and their houses are taking it really well. You too can not go wrong with these tips.
