Do it yourself Granite Countertops

You can mount granite countertops on a surface that that is in good shape. The tiles should be pre sealed and those that match the tile face. Ensure that you remove any item and fixtures from the top. Make sure you cut a ΒΌ cement board and fix it on the countertop. Then fill in the seam with mortar.
You will spread the thin set mortar on the board by the use of a trowel. Then start the tiling process by laying the middle of the top. You should work your way to the sides while leaving a 1/8 inch space. Ensure that the tiles edges are as far as possible from the corner. Spread your sanded grout on the tiles spaces while squeezing at the same time. Allow it to sit for a few minutes and wipe it with a clean wet sponge. Install the sink after two days
